Integrated Gateway and High-Gain Antenna
Gateway-In-A-Stick consists of potted electronics, a high gain antenna and a multi-mount aluminum base contained within a high-impact polycarbonate “Stick”. With a rugged design, low power consumption and long range capability of 3+ miles, the Stick transmits data via a wireless link, eliminating the need for long, costly conduit runs. An ARM processor is capable of holding remote data registers as well as providing control of remote assets.
The Gateway-In-A-Stick combats a common problem with RF networks, which are increasingly used to monitor and control remote devices over tens or hundreds of square miles. Gateways traditionally have different location requirements for their electronics module and antenna, making it necessary to place them separately. The Stick is a revolutionary solution that combines them in one easy-to-install component.
