Oak Creek, Wisconsin – March 25, 2020 – Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers announced on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, the issue of a month-long “Emergency Order #12, Safer At Home” regarding the closure of all non-essential businesses. However, AW-Lake has verified its status as an “essential” manufacturer due to the sectors that the company serves in supplying flow meters, notably the medical and energy industries.
At this point, AW-Lake will remain open and continue to manufacture flow meters and fulfill orders, while monitoring the continually changing COVID-19 situation. Anticipating a slight disruption in our supply chain, the company increased inventory levels several weeks ago to maintain production levels. For employees who will continue to work onsite and in the production line, AW-Lake increased deep-cleaning practices and provides workers with adequate distancing and sanitary interactions.
In following the Governor’s orders as closely as possible, the flow meter business provides remote work solutions for office personnel who can complete tasks from home, providing them with the resources to continue in their jobs and regularly communicate through virtual meetings and other forums. The company also continues to provide customer support and training through virtual technology such as Zoom, Teams, Skype and Facetime.
“At AW-Lake, we do not take lightly the responsibility to protect worker health and safety as a result of staying open during this time. The management team and I will diligently continue to support and monitor our employees and provide critical worker health and safety tools and education,” stated Mark Iverson, General Manager.
AW-Lake will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the safety of its employees and the community. For further information, contact Marcia Reiff, Director of Marketing Communications, at 800-850-6110, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
