The JV-TC Positive Displacement Flow Meter is part of AW-Lake’s “Next-Generation” line of Gear Meters and is the result of decades of experience, listening to customers and extensive and diligent study of the latest technologies available. These high performance flow meters have wider turndowns, higher resolution, higher pressure rating, and improved accuracy over their predecessor the JV-CG meter. This meter maintains high accuracy and repeatability, despite changing viscosity conditions, up to ±0.25% accuracy with select sensors. Applications well suited to the JV-TC meters include filling & dosing systems, 2- and 3-component mixing systems, and paint systems, such as seen in the automotive sector.
The JV-TC positive displacement flow meters (“TC” for the tungsten carbide bearing) build upon the performance you expect from us and take ease of use and durability to the next level, offering greater efficiencies in operation with higher resolution, higher standard pressure rating (up to 6,000 psi), wider turndowns, and improved accuracy – even in changing viscosity conditions.

JV-TC gear meters are essential devices that measure and control the flow rate of liquids in 1-, 2-, and 3-component meter/mix and dispense systems. The JV-TC meters achieve precise and consistent delivery of the individual components, ensuring optimal mixing ratios and product quality. They also help reduce possible material waste and solvent consumption, which results in lower operating costs and environmental impact.
The JV-TC Gear Meter is an excellent choice for paint systems due to its sleeve-type bearings, which are ideal for handling paints and other abrasive materials. Traditional gear meters with ball bearings are prone to breakdowns or material buildup, leading to hardening and operational issues. The sleeve bearings in the JV-TC Gear Meter prevent these problems, making it suitable for both standard and highly viscous paints, as there are no extra spaces for material to get stuck.
Large commercial printing plants rely on flow meters to monitor ink usage, both for a cost standpoint as well as for environmental compliance and reporting. Due to the viscous nature of printing inks, the JV-TC is an ideal meter for this application.
