The JVH High Pressure Positive Displacement Flow Meter is part of AW-Lake’s “Next-Generation” line of Gear Meters and is the result of decades of experience, listening to customers and extensive and diligent study of the latest technologies available. These high performance flow meters have tighter machining tolerances, higher resolution, higher pressure rating, and improved accuracy over their competitors. This meter maintains high accuracy and repeatability, despite changing viscosity conditions, up to ±0.25% accuracy with select sensors. Applications well suited to the JVH meters include offshore production platforms, hydraulic power units, gas dehydration systems, and chemical processing plants.
The JVH high pressure positive displacement flow meters build upon the performance you expect from us and take ease of use and durability to the next level, offering greater efficiencies in operation with higher resolution, higher standard pressure rating (up to 6,000 psi), wider turndowns, and improved accuracy – even in changing viscosity conditions.

The JVH have been used on offshore chemical injection skids on stationary and floating production platforms for many years. This meter is equipped for pressures up to 15,000 psi (1035 bar) and are built with bolts made of Inconel 718 for superior corrosion resistance and strength. This meter is well suited for oils and fuels, as well as the additives and chemicals found in offshore chemical injection.
The JVH high pressure gear meter is integral to the operation of a Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) by accurately measuring the flow rate of hydraulic fluid within the system. This real-time data helps ensure that the hydraulic fluid flow remains within specified parameters, essential for maintaining the efficiency and reliability of the HPU. By monitoring flow rates, the JVH aids in detecting leaks, blockages, or performance issues, enabling timely maintenance and optimal operation of hydraulic machinery.
In a gas dehydration system, a JVH gear meter is employed to precisely measure the flow rate of liquid desiccants used to remove moisture from natural gas. The meter’s accurate measurement ensures the correct amount of desiccant is maintained, optimizing the moisture removal process. By providing real-time flow data, the gear meter helps maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the gas dehydration system, preventing gas quality issues and ensuring safe, continuous operation.
The JVH gear meter is ideal for Chemical Processing for its materials of construction, high pressure rating, and high accuracy, which is crucial for maintaining correct ratios, ensuring product consistency and optimizing reaction conditions. With a JVH installed in the process, operators can detect and address any deviations promptly, enhancing process efficiency, product quality and worker safety.
