Oak Creek, Wisconsin-November 1, 2017– AW-LAKE COMPANY introduces the FAC-R™ Frequency to Analog Converter that changes incoming sensor frequency to both current and voltage analog output. FAC-R interfaces with a variety of frequency output sensors and instrumentation, including flow meters, tachometers, pumps, motors, and linear/rotational encoders. An economical alternative to a high-speed PLC counter card, the Frequency to Analog Signal Converter is ideal for use in process monitoring, data acquisition and virtually any application when sending an analog signal to a PLC or other control system.
A Bluetooth communication interface supports both basic scaling and advanced functions using a tablet or smartphone, such as linearization table programming that helps improve output of non-linear devices or extend the range of a flow meter beyond its linear range. With the Bluetooth mobile application on a smartphone, users have a wireless flow monitor in their hands. Operators can utilize the Bluetooth capability on a mobile device for remote setup, troubleshooting, and reconfiguration, eliminating the need to talk from the device to monitoring equipment when fine-tuning adjustments. (The mobile app is currently only available on Androids; an Apple version is scheduled 2018.)
The FAC-R Frequency to Analog Converter features a large input range from 0.25Hz to 5 KHz with five user-selectable outputs including 4-20mA, 0-5V, 1-5V, 0-10V, and 2-10V. FAC-R offers excellent temperature stability over a -40°F to +185°F (-40°C to +85°C) operating range. A DIN-Rail mount allows for easy panel installation. AW-Lake will introduce a local mount model with an integrated sensor in 2018.
